Publication and Review Procedures
Manuscripts submitted to the Faculty of Education Scientific Journal go through the following stages from submission to publication.
Receipt and initial screening
- Submission Manuscripts are submitted through the journal's online platform only; manuscripts sent by email are not accepted. The publication request form and the title page are uploaded with the manuscript.
- Acknowledgement The platform sends the author an automatic acknowledgement of receipt.
- Initial screening Within two weeks, the editorial board checks the manuscript against the scope and the Author Guidelines, and either accepts it for review, returns it for completion, or rejects it with the reason stated.
- Similarity check With Turnitin, maximum 25%, under the Plagiarism and Retraction Policy.
Peer review
- Assignment The anonymised manuscript is sent to two reviewers with expertise in the specific field, with the journal's review form.
- Timeline Reviewers respond to the invitation within one week and complete the review within four weeks of accepting it.
- Third reviewer If the two reviewers differ between acceptance and rejection, the manuscript is sent to a third reviewer.
Decision and revision
- Notification The author is informed of the decision with the reviewers' comments.
- Revision The author uploads the revised manuscript with a point-by-point response, within two weeks for minor revisions and four weeks for major revisions. The Editor-in-Chief may extend the period for an acceptable reason; otherwise processing stops and the author is notified.
- Second review The revised manuscript may return to the reviewers to confirm that the revisions were made.
- Final decision Made by the Editor-in-Chief on the basis of the reviewers' reports and the completed revisions.
Acceptance and publication
- Acceptance letter The author receives an acceptance letter stating the volume and issue, with a request to pay the publication fee and sign the Declaration and Copyright Transfer form.
- Production The journal copyedits and typesets the article, and the author checks the final proof within three days.
- Publication The article is published in the scheduled issue with a DOI and the CC BY 4.0 licence.
General provisions
- Authors may withdraw a manuscript freely before acceptance; after acceptance, a written, reasoned request through the platform is required.
- The editorial board may make formal and language edits that do not affect the content, in line with the journal's style.
- Publication priority follows the date of acceptance; the order of articles within an issue is set during production.
