Conflict of Interest Policy

The Journal of Future Studies – Sirte University (JFSS) is committed to maintaining integrity and objectivity throughout all stages of the publication process and requires all parties involved in publication to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may affect scholarly judgment or editorial decision-making.

First: Authors

Authors must disclose any financial or non-financial interests or relationships that may influence, or may reasonably be perceived as influencing, the objectivity of the research or the interpretation of its findings.

Examples of potential conflicts of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Funding or grants related to the research.
  • Consulting or administrative positions related to the subject of the research.
  • Financial or commercial interests.
  • Relevant patents or intellectual property rights.
  • Personal or professional relationships that may affect the objectivity of the research.

A Conflict-of-Interest Statement must be included in the manuscript or in the journal’s designated disclosure form.

Second: Reviewers

Reviewers must disclose any conflict of interest that may affect their impartiality or objectivity and should decline to review a manuscript if the conflict is substantial.

Third: Editors

An editor must not participate in the peer review or editorial decision-making process for a manuscript in which they have a direct interest or a relationship that may affect the independence of the decision, including manuscripts they have co-authored.

In cases of conflict of interest, the Editorial Board shall make appropriate arrangements to ensure the independence and integrity of the peer review and editorial decision-making processes.

The journal treats conflict-of-interest disclosures confidentially and may request additional clarification or documentation when necessary.
