Authorship Policy

Authorship Policy

The Journal of Future Studies – Sirte University (JFSS) is committed to the principles of integrity and transparency in determining authorship and the order of authors. The list of authors must accurately reflect their actual contributions to the research.

An author must have made a substantial contribution to one or more of the essential scholarly aspects of the research, such as:

  • Contributing to the conception or design of the study.
  • Collecting, analyzing, or interpreting data.
  • Drafting the manuscript or critically revising it in a manner that contributes to the development of its scholarly content.
  • Providing final approval of the version to be published.
  • Assuming responsibility for the integrity of the scholarly work and responding to any inquiries concerning the accuracy or integrity of the research.

A corresponding author must be designated to communicate with the journal and follow up on the submission, peer review, revision, and publication processes. The corresponding author confirms that all authors have reviewed and approved the submitted version of the manuscript.

A person must not be listed as an author unless they have made a substantial scholarly contribution to the research. Likewise, an author who has made a legitimate contribution to the work must not be omitted from the author list.

If a request is made to add or remove an author, or to change the order of authors after submission of the manuscript, a written request must be submitted to the Editorial Board, explaining the reasons for the proposed change and accompanied by the consent of all affected authors. The Editorial Board reserves the right to consider such requests and make an appropriate decision in accordance with the journal’s policy.

Authorship must not be assigned solely on the basis of administrative supervision, funding, or general assistance that does not constitute a substantial scholarly contribution to the research. Appropriate contributions of this nature may instead be acknowledged in the Acknowledgements section, where applicable.

All authors share responsibility for the scholarly content of the manuscript, each within the scope of their respective contributions, and are expected to cooperate in addressing any inquiries concerning the accuracy or integrity of the work.
