Journal’s Policy

The International Journal of Engineering Research is a peer-reviewed research journal that publishes local, regional and international research. The research is published in English language only. All research papers that are submitted to the journal will be treated confidentially. Research papers will be reviewed by specialists and experts in the field of the research.

The reseach

The research should be original and well prepared specifically for the journal and it should not have been published in whole or in part or similar in any electronic or paper publishing medium, or presented at a scientific conference.

The research should fall within the scope of the journal’s goals and research interests. The number of research words, including references in references and explanatory margins, the bibliographic list and table words if they exist, and appendices if they exist, ranges between 3500-4500 words, and the journal may publish, according to its estimates and exceptionally, some research and studies that exceed this number from words.

In the case that there are charts, figures, equations, graphs, or tables, they should be sent in the way they were originally used whether in Excel or Word programs. Figures, drawings, and tables that send images are not accepted.

The arrangement of research publication is subject to technical requirements unrelated to the position of the researcher.

The authors

The authors of submitted papers must provide an undertaking not to be previously published or submitted simultaneously to another journal.

The authors should use the journal’s template in writing their manuscript. Harvard system is the only an acceptable format of references.

Integrity:

The journal takes decisive action to combat plagiarism. All scientific papers are subject to plagiarism detection.

All scientific papers undergo a double-blind review process according to high indicative standards. The journal will take strong and deterrent measures in the event that scientific plagiarism is proven. The journal adheres to ethical standards for all elements of the journal as set out in the publishing ethics.

Copyright:

The researcher agrees that the copyright of his article is transferred to the journal, and when the paper is accepted for publication, it is published in a free or open access format and distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution License, which allows readers to freely redistribute, modify , change, and derivation from the content, as long as they attribute the original work to its owner.

Conflict of interest:

In order to ensure that there is no conflict of interest; arbitrators are not selected who have a relationship or interest with the author or one of the authors or the institutions or organization to which the author belongs.

Delivery:

Scientific papers and their attachments shall be sent by e-mail to the journal or uploaded electronically to the journal’s website, and the author is given a link that allows him to track the course of the scientific paper. The research paper must include, or in a separate file, a brief introduction to the author and the place in which he works, along with the electronic address. The author receives an acknowledgment of receipt.

Initial examination:

The editorial board examines the scientific paper to see if it conforms to the formal publishing rules and is eligible for arbitration.

In the first examination, conditions such as: suitability of the subject for the journal, type of paper (research or non-research paper), integrity of language, accuracy of documentation and attribution based on the documentation system adopted in the journal, non-violation of scientific publishing ethics.

The author is notified of the receipt of the research paper and the result of the preliminary examination.

The journal can enter a stage called the “completion and improvement of the research” stage, if it finds that the research paper is promising but needs improvements before arbitration, and at this stage it provides the author with instructions or recommendations that guide him to ways of this improvement that helps qualify the research paper for the arbitration stage.

Arbitration:

Each research is subject to complete confidential peer review, which is conducted by two reviewers who are specialized and experienced in the field subjected to the research. In the case of doubt, the search is referred to a third weighted reviewer. The journal is committed to providing the authors with its final decision.

The author shall be informed of a report from the editorial board stating its decision.

The names of the reviewers remain anonymous to the author

Revision Process:

The author makes the necessary modifications to the research paper based on the results of the arbitration and sends it back to the journal, showing the modifications

In a separate file attached to the revised research paper, the author shows his answers to all the points raised in the editorial board's letter and the reports drawn up by the reviewers.

Acceptance and rejection:

The journal reserves the right of acceptance and rejection based on the author's commitment to the rules and standards of publishing and the directives of the journal's editorial board.
