هيوم: دورُ اللغةِ فِي مشروعِ إنتاجِ المعرفةِ
Abstract
The modern Western philosophical project is based on Hume's philosophy which considered one of the most important philosophies. The importance of Hume’s philosophy was increased due to the fact that it focuses on the subject of knowledge. His philosophy aimed to set out a standard that would be able to differentiate between legitimate and illegitimate knowledge. In Addition to that it set out a limit that would be able to protect knowledge from irrational influences. To achieve these purposes, Hume had to be open up to the subject of languagehe also had to explain the role it plays in the project of knowledge production and circulation. Hume ended up with dedicating the congruence between the content of knowledge and the significance of language vocabulary. Hume believes that knowledge can only be legitimate if it is gained from a sensory impression as is the case with the vocabulary of the language which is meaningful if it has a realistic content, and is devoid of meaning in the absence of the real content from it.
