This research paper deals with the influence of the geographical and social environment in Imru’ al-Qais’s commentary, in terms of themes, poetic images, and methods used. The research paper sheds light on the environmental elements that surrounded the poet, such as the desert, climate, and Bedouin life, and their role in shaping his poetic experience, as The commentary reflects the harsh nature of the desert in which Imru’ al-Qais lived, where images of drought, mirages, winds, rain, and the presence of geographical places are repeated.
Such as "Dara Jaljal", "Triangle" and others, which show the poet's influence on the place. He also depicted desert animals such as antelope and horses, which reflects his close relationship with nature. The pre-Islamic society was based on tribalism, hunting, and conquest, which appears in the poet’s pride in himself and his horse. And social customs and traditions that were reflected in the description of women, emotional adventures, and nostalgia for the past
