Editor-in-Chief’s Message

It is my pleasure to welcome researchers, academics, and all those interested in legal studies to submit their scholarly work to the Legal Research Journal, published by the Faculty of Law at the University of Sirte, Libya. I take pride in the Journal’s affiliation with this distinguished university and in its role in supporting scientific research and advancing legal knowledge.

The Legal Research Journal is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to publishing original legal research characterized by novelty, methodological rigor, and analytical depth. It is not merely a venue for publishing research; rather, it is an academic platform committed to advancing legal thought, contributing to the examination of contemporary legislative and judicial challenges, and exploring appropriate solutions to the issues they raise.

The Journal’s mission is to provide researchers with opportunities to publish their original scholarly work, encourage comparative studies that draw on diverse legislative and judicial experiences, strengthen the connection between academic research and practical realities, and keep pace with developments in the field of law.

Recognizing that a journal’s standing is built on the quality of its publications rather than their quantity, the Journal adheres to the principles of rigorous academic publishing. These include originality of research, accurate referencing, peer review in accordance with established procedures, respect for research and publication ethics, protection of intellectual property rights, and adherence to the principles of academic integrity. The Journal also seeks to engage with diverse legal traditions and schools of thought, welcoming contributions from researchers at Libyan, Arab, and international universities and academic institutions. It recognizes that the exchange of diverse perspectives enriches scholarly dialogue and advances legal knowledge while preserving the Journal’s academic identity and mission.

We aspire to continue developing the Journal’s scholarly content, enhancing the quality of published research, broadening its pool of contributing researchers and reviewers, and strengthening its presence in recognized academic databases and indexing services. This commitment reflects our conviction that indexing and academic evaluation serve as instruments for continuous development and improved performance, rather than ends in themselves.

We gratefully acknowledge the efforts of researchers who have chosen the Journal as a venue for their scholarly work, reviewers who contribute their expertise to the evaluation of submitted manuscripts, and members of the Editorial Board and Advisory Board who support the Journal’s academic mission.
