Publication Policies & Conditions


  1. Open Access PolicyThe
    Journal of Future Studies of the University of Sirte (JFSS) follows the Open Access system, which means that all published research is available for free reading and download by the public without restrictions. This policy not only enables researchers and interested parties around the world to access research easily, but also contributes to increasing citations and enhancing engagement with research content.
  2. Peer Review Policy
    This journal follows an  anonymous double-blind peer review process. The authors and reviewers are anonymous to ensure maximum integrity and objectivity. The editors initially evaluate the research to determine whether it aligns with the journal's objectives and area of interest. If the research is deemed appropriate, it is sent to at least two independent reviewers to assess its scholarly quality and originality. The final decision on whether to accept or reject the research is based on the reviewers' recommendations.
    Based on the reports of the reviewers, the editors make one of the following decisions: • Accept (with no modifications or minor modifications). (•Conditional acceptance (after the implementation of the required modifications. (•Re-evaluation (if material modifications are requested). To
     this end, the following policy applies regarding editors' participation in research evaluation: • No editor is allowed to participate in the review or decision-making regarding research in which he/she is a lead author or participant.
  3. Copyright PolicyBefore
    submitting any research for publication in a journal, authors should always carefully review the journal's copyright policy to understand their obligations and rights. These policies ensure a balance between the protection of authors' intellectual property, the journal's requirements for publication, and the broader goal of effectively disseminating scientific knowledge. In addition, all potential authors should adhere to ethical standards and avoid plagiarism in any way. If you discover any plagiarism in an article submitted for publication, The journal will contact the author concerned for an explanation within two weeks of the date of notification. After this period, the matter will be referred to the competent committees to take the necessary strict measures.
  4. Authorship PolicyThe Authorship Policy
    sets out the rules and guidelines that authors must adhere to when submitting research for publication in a scientific journal. This policy aims to ensure academic integrity, transparency and the idlining of responsibilities for everyone who has contributed to the work. All authors must have made substantial contributions to each of the following:
    - Substantial contribution to the concept or design of the study, data collection, analysis and interpretation.
    - Drafting or critically reviewing the article for important intellectual content.
    - Final approval of the copy to be submitted.
    Authors should appoint a correspondent to communicate with the journal during the editorial process. All authors should also take responsibility for all aspects of the work to ensure that any questions regarding the accuracy or integrity of any part of it are investigated and appropriately resolved.
  5. Author Self-Archiving Policy.
    The Journal of Future Studies of the University of Sirte usually allows authors to archive certain copies of their research in institutional, personal, or preprint repositories. The conditions that apply vary depending on the stage of the manuscript:
    *Preprint: This is the original copy of the research before peer review and acceptance for publication. The journal allows authors to publish this copy at any time, noting that it has not yet been peer-reviewed.
    *Author  Accepted Manuscript: This is the copy of the research that has been accepted for publication after peer review, but has not yet been finalized or edited by the journal.
    *Published Version of Record: This is the official and final version of the article as it appears in the journal, in the publisher's format and numbering. This version is usually only available through the journal's website.
  6. Plagiarism and Retraction PolicyThe
    journal follows a strict policy to ensure academic and research integrity, takes plagiarism very seriously and imposes clear procedures to retract published research when necessary. 1 Plagiarism PolicyThe journal emphasizes the need for all authors to adhere to research ethics and to refrain from plagiarism in all its forms. Plagiarism is any use of ideas, words, data, or any other work without properly attributing it to its original source. This includes
    : *
    Use of texts from other works without citation or reference.
    *Change a few words while keeping the original structure of the idea or sentence without a reference.
    *Reuse large portions of the author's previously published work without proper reference.
    The journal uses specialized plagiarism detection tools to examine all submitted papers. If any similarity or suspicion of plagiarism is detected:
    *Immediate action will be taken to verify the matter.
    *Relevant authors will be required to provide an explanation within a specified period of time.
    If plagiarism is found, the case will be referred to the relevant committees to take strict disciplinary action, which may include rejecting the research, banning authors from publishing in the journal in the future, and notifying the institutions to which they belong. 2  Retraction Policy

The journal is committed to maintaining an accurate and reliable record of scientific publications. Therefore, articles published in specific cases may be retracted (retracted) to ensure the integrity of the scientific record. The main reasons for retraction include:
*If the main findings or conclusions in the article are found to be unreliable due to a serious scientific error or research misconduct (such as falsification of data).
*If material plagiarism is discovered that was not discovered during the initial review process.
*If the same article is published in another journal
*Disclosing a significant undisclosed conflict of interest that materially affected the integrity of the work.

Retraction Procedures:
- When a concern arises about a published article, the editorial team will conduct a thorough investigation.
- Authors will be given a chance to respond and provide an explanation.
- If it is decided to retract, an official retraction notice will be published explaining the reason for the retraction, and this notice will be linked to the original article in all databases and digital repositories, to ensure transparency and inform the scientific community.
 7. Conflict of InterestThe Journal of
Future Studies of the University of Sirte (JFSS)  obliges all authors to fully disclose any relationships or interests (financial or non-financial) that may constitute a potential conflict of interest, whether direct or indirect, that could affect the integrity of the research or the interpretation of the results. Potential sources of conflicts of interest include, but are not limited to:  Advisory positions, board membership, funding or grants from related parties, patents, intellectual property rights associated with the research topic, or any other interests that may affect academic objectivity. Authors must include a declaration of conflict of interest within the manuscript or via the designated form.
 8. Data Sharing Policy

The journal requires all authors to:
1. To make available all primary data and supporting materials on which the results are based in their research, in order to ensure scientific transparency and verifiability of the results.
2. Take all necessary measures to protect the identities of participants in research studies, whether in quantitative or qualitative data, by:
 -Removing all identifying information
--Using symbols or numbers instead of
 names-Applying encryption techniques when
necessary-3-Ensuring that the data shared with the editors or the public does not contain any information that may reveal the identity of the participants, while preserving the scientific value of the data.4.Adherence to ethical laws and standards in the handling of sensitive data, especially in the medical, psychological, and social fields.

  1. Research and publishing
    ethics.1. The article submitted for publication in the journal must be an original research on a new topic, and has not been previously published or submitted to any other journal, conference, workshop or periodical.
    2. The researcher must adhere to the ethics of scientific research, and avoid any form of falsification, manipulation of data, plagiarism, or duplication of publication. It is also forbidden to send the research to more than one entity at the same time, or to artificially divide the results into several research papers, or to prolong the content.
    3. The research submitted for publication should be subject to strict academic standards, with concern for high quality at every step, starting with presenting the objectives and problems of the research, reviewing previous studies, analyzing and discussing the results, and ending with conclusions and recommendations, with a commitment to accurately documenting sources and references.
    4. Researchers must accurately document all sources used in the research, including any data or information issued by financial, advisory, or institutional entities, in order to ensure transparency and avoid any potential bias or conflict of interest.
     5. The researcher must read, fill out and sign the "Researcher Commitment to the Originality of the Research, Observing the Ethics of Scientific Research, Transfer of Copyright and No Conflict of Interest" available on the journal's website. This form includes a pledge to fully comply with the ethics of scientific research, to refrain from any form of plagiarism, to attribute the information to its original sources, in addition to thanking everyone who contributed to the research and explaining the nature of the contribution.
     6. In case of using any previously published image or table, the researcher must clearly document the original source in the research and also obtain written permission from the copyright holder (publisher or author) and attach it to the research submitted for publication.
     7. The journal adheres to the ethical principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applies its guidelines in dealing with cases of academic misconduct. The journal also follows the operational guidelines  (flowcharts) issued by COPE to deal with any potential irregularities.
     10-Publication Procedures Manual
     - 1The research should be sent to the journal's e-mail in the name of the journal's editor-in-chief, provided that it is attached to the research publication request form.
     - 2 The researcher is obliged to fill out the acknowledgment form, in which he acknowledges that the research is not derived from any book or scientific thesis, and has not been previously published or submitted for publication.
     - 3The journal's editorial board registers the research in a special register and informs the researcher of the receipt of his research.
     - 4 The research is presented to the editorial board, and after confirming that it conforms to the terms and conditions of publication, it is referred to specialized reviewers, and the evaluation is done according to a form sent to the reviewer in which he indicates his decision on whether to approve the acceptance of the research or not, and to make formal and objective observations about the research.
     5. Research and reports of reviewers are treated in strict confidentiality.
     - 6In case of disagreement between the referees' responses to the result of the evaluation of the research (negative and positive), the research will be referred to a third arbitrator to decide whether the research should be accepted for publication or not.
     7. The editorial board shall notify the researcher of the amendments according to the referees, provided that the researcher makes the required amendments within a period of time not exceeding two weeks from the date of referring the notes to him.
     8. The Editor-in-Chief shall notify the researcher whether or not his research has been accepted for publication.
     9. After the researcher is notified of the acceptance of his research for publication, the copyright will be transferred to the journal, and the accepted research may not be published in any other journal or journal, or participate in a scientific conference or symposium, and the researcher is requested to fill out the copyright form.
     11. Terms and Conditions of Publication

The journal "Future Studies of the University of Sirte" relies in selecting the contents of its issues on future-oriented research, discussing emerging issues, analyzing scenarios and alternative future outlook, in addition to the formal and objective specifications of international refereed journals, according to the following:
 1. The research must be original prepared specifically for the journal, and it must not have been published in part or in full, or similar in any electronic or paper publishing medium, or presented in one of the scientific conferences other than the conferences held by the Academic Center for Studies or to any other party.
 2. The research must meet the conditions of the scientific research, including the research summary, presentation of the problem, review of the relevant literature and methodology, data analysis, and presentation of results and recommendations.
 3. The journal devotes a special section to discussions of an idea, theory, or issue raised in the field of social sciences, the number of discussion words does not exceed 2800-3000 words, and the discussions are subject to the conditions and regulations of publication to which the research is subject.
 4. The journal is interested in publishing critical reviews of important books that have recently been published in its fields of specialization in any of the languages, provided that they have not been published for more than three years, and their word count does not exceed 2800-3000 words. This book must fall within the researcher's field of competence or in the field of his main research interests, and the reviews are subject to the conditions and regulations of publication to which the research is subject
. 5. Research is accepted in Arabic and English.
 6. The researcher opens an account on the journal's website, fills out the forms on the website, and then uploads his research, and if he is unable to do so, the researcher can send an electronic copy in the form of a file (Word 1010) and another file in the form of (pdf)

 8. On the first page of the research, all the data of the researcher or researchers participating in the research should be mentioned, provided that it includes: name, degree, specialization, university name, email, in Arabic and English.
 9. The research must contain a summary, and five keywords in Arabic and English to be placed at the front of the research, and it is stipulated that machine translation should not be used in the preparation of the English language abstract, provided that the number of words of each abstract should not exceed (250) words.
 10. The research should be on A4 size paper and presented on a laser disc or sent by e-mail, not exceeding 30 pages, including tables, figures, and images.
 11. A brief biography of the researcher with the first post shall be attached to the research.
 12. The technical aspects of the research preparations shall be as follows:

  1. Writing for Arabic research shall be in Traditional Arabic calligraphy, and for English research in Times New Roman calligraphy, with a single space between lines.

The font size should be as follows:•16 (Blod) for the main headings.•14 (Blod) for the subheadings.•14 for the text in Arabic and 12 for the text in English.•12 Italics for the summary in Arabic and (10) for the abstract in English.•10 for the explanation or clarification at the bottom of the page.

  1. The margin of the page should be left (2.5 cm) from the top and bottom, and (2.5 cm) from the left and right.
    d. The main title of the search should be written in the middle of the page, and the font type should be Traditional Arabic with a size of 16 blod.
    e. The name of the researcher or researchers should be written directly under the title of the research, with the name of the scientific institution, and the email address in the middle of the page, and the font type should be Traditional Arabic, with a size of 12 blod.
    The tables shall be printed and numbered (at the top of the table) respectively, and the type of Arabic font, according to the sequence in which they appear in the body of the research, and shall be provided with titles, each of which shall be referred to in the same sequence in the body of the research.
    g. The shapes shall be clearly drawn and numbered (at the top of the shape) respectively, and the type of font shall be Traditional Arabic, according to their appearance in the research, and shall be provided with clear and precise titles, each of which shall be referred to in the same sequence in the body of the research, and any drawing that does not conform to the conditions shall not be considered.
    h. The equations shall be numbered in sequence and according to their appearance in the body of the research, and the number shall be indicated in front of the equation.
    i. The photographs within the search are presented clearly drawn by the  scanner, express their content accurately, numbered and provided with clear and accurate titles at the top.
  2. Sources and references must be proven in the body of the research so that the researcher's title and the Sunnah are placed in parentheses, and in the case of direct citation, the page number is added.
    14. The researcher is obliged to make the referees' amendments to his research according to the reports sent to him, and to provide the journal with an amended copy within a period not exceeding (15) days.
    15. The researcher may not request that his research be not published after it is sent to arbitration except for reasons that the editorial board is satisfied with, and in case of dissatisfaction with the reasons provided, the researcher will be prevented from publishing in the journal again.
    16. All references referred to in the body of the research must be included in the list of references at the end of the research before the appendices, if any, and arranged in alphabetical order, starting with the Arabic references first, then the foreign references without numbering them, according to the following:
  3. Books:
    The title of the author or authors first, then the rest of the name (year), the title of the book, the name of the investigator or translator if any (edition number, place of publication, name of the publisher), part number.
    b. The research or article published in the journal:
    the title of the author or writer first, then the rest of the name (year), the title of the research or article between quotation marks, the name of the journal, the entity from which the journal is issued, the name of the country from which it was issued, the volume number, the issue number.
    C. University Theses: The
    title of the thesis presenter first, then the rest of the name (year), the title of the thesis or thesis, and the name of the university granting the thesis.
    D. Internet sources and references: the
    title of the author or authors first, then the rest of the name (year), the title of the book, article or research, the name and address of the website, and the date of the visit to the site.
    17. No more than one research paper shall be published by the researcher in each issue.
    18. The published research is considered the property of the journal and therefore no research published or accepted for publication in any form or in any language in any other entity may not be republished.
