To achieve the study’s objectives, a descriptive correlational methodology was followed, and a questionnaire was used for data collection which was developed and confirmed its reliability and validity coefficient. The SPSS software was used, along with descriptive and inferential statistical methods, to achieve the study's aims. Furthermore, the Andrew F. Hayes model was adopted through the PROCESS Procedure for SPSS Version 4.2 to test the mediation hypothesis. The study concluded that the practice of sustainable leadership, investment in human capital, and organizational ambidexterity were all came at a high level. Additionally, the study showed that sustainable leadership and organizational ambidexterity both affect investment in human capital, with the effect of sustainable leadership being greater than that of organizational agility. The study also revealed that organizational ambidexterity partially mediates the relationship between sustainable leadership and investment in human capital. Finally, the study provided a set of recommendations aimed at enhancing sustainable leadership, strengthening organizational ambidexterity, and supporting investment in human capital within the airlines under study
2024-12-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 جامعة سرت http://journal.su.edu.ly/index.php/jfssu/article/view/3292 Application of (Springate, Kida, Altman, and Sherrod) Models in Predicting Financial Failure of Libyan Commercial Banks: An Empirical Study on Selected Libyan Commercial Banks (Al-Wahda, Al-Mutahed, Al-Jumhouria) for the Period (2019–2023 2025-05-05T10:18:29+00:00 د محمد اصميدة احمدي محمد بوعظمات mohmed0923724117@gmail.com ا. ميلاد محمد المنفي miladmiilla@gmail.com
This study aimed to identify the results of using the models of Sherrod, Altman, Kida, and Springate in predicting the financial failure of Libyan commercial banks (Unity, United, Republic) for the period from 2019 to 2023, and through the applied study of the items of the financial statements of the banks under study used in the failure prediction models related to the study, the study reached a set of results, the most important of which are: Accept the first hypothesis, which states that "using the Kida model the commercial banks under study are not in good financial position and will be at risk of bankruptcy." And accept the third hypothesis, which states "using the Springate model that the commercial banks under study are not in good financial situation and will be exposed to the risk of bankruptcy", and accept the fifth hypothesis, which states "there is no compatibility of the results of the models Sherrod), Altman, Kida, (Springate to predict the financial failure of the commercial banks under study), while the second hypothesis, which states "using the Sherrod model that the commercial banks under study are not in good financial situation and will be exposed to the risk of bankruptcy", and also rejected the fourth hypothesis, which states "using Altman Edward's model is that the commercial banks under study are not in good financial position and will be at risk of bankruptcy." The study recommended strengthening the interest in testing different financial failure prediction models in commercial banks in Libya to avoid the risk of bankruptcy and manage the crisis properly.
2024-12-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 جامعة سرت http://journal.su.edu.ly/index.php/jfssu/article/view/3293 Predicting the exchange rate of the Libyan dinar against the US dollar during the period (2025-2030) using exponential smoothing methods 2025-05-05T10:51:17+00:00 د. عبد الله محمد حسن jfssu@su.edu.ly
The main objective of the research is to predict the official exchange rate of the Libyan dinar against the US dollar, expressed in the number of dinars per dollar, during the years 2025-2030 using the Holt-Winters added method of exponential smoothing as the best method among the various exponential smoothing methods due to its association with the lowest value of the sum of squares of residuals (SSR) and root mean square error (RMSE). The results of the forecast show that the official exchange rate of the Libyan dinar against the US dollar will take an upward pattern during the forecast period, which indicates the deterioration of the value of the Libyan dinar, which will negatively affect the standard of living of citizens and the Libyan balance of payments in light of the inflexibility of the productive system
2024-12-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 جامعة سرت http://journal.su.edu.ly/index.php/jfssu/article/view/3294 Climate Components of Tourism in the Tolmitha region 2025-05-05T11:09:52+00:00 د. حمد محمد احمد ساسي Hamad.mohammed@uob.edu.ly
This study examined the Climate Components of Tourism in the area of Tolmitha, the study aimed to know the suitable and unsuitable months in the region of Tolmitha, as it aimed to know how the climate affects tourism in the region of Tolmitha, to achieve these goals, the descriptive approach was used as well as the quantitative approach, The study concluded that the months of April and November are suitable for tourism according to Oliver's index. the study also concluded that the months of May and October are suitable for tourism according to Thom's index the study also concluded that the months of July and August are suitable for tourism according to (ko) index. Self-confidence represents the "present," depression represents the "past," and anxiety represents the "future." The study was conducted on a sample of 18 female psychology students from the second and third years. The measures used included self-confidence (Ayyub Al-Sabhi, 2018), future anxiety (Zalinski, 2000), and the Beck Depression Inventory (first modified version, B.D.I). The main findings revealed: First: The students have a clear orientation toward the "present," and they show a low orientation toward the "past and future," indicating that depression and anxiety coexist. Second: There is a positive correlation between the students in self-confidence, depression, and future anxiety in favor of the third year. Third: Age plays a contributing role in predicting the relationship between self-confidence and depression.
2024-12-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 جامعة سرت http://journal.su.edu.ly/index.php/jfssu/article/view/3296 The role of economic dimensions of national security in combating terrorism 2025-05-05T11:20:13+00:00 د. عبد العظيم إسماعيل الأزرق aadem51@yahoo.com
This paper seeks to address the relationship between the economic dimensions and development policies and their relationship to the phenomenon of the spread and growth of terrorist organizations and their threat to security and peace in the Arab and Islamic worlds, especially in Libya. This paper starts from its approach to this relationship by studying the roots and causes of the emergence of terrorism, its growth, and its threat to the security and stability of the country; these reasons revolve around poverty and corruption, which motivate terrorism by using people’s suffering to justify violence directed at the authorities. On the other hand, instability and conflicts constitute suitable conditions for the emergence and effective activity of terrorism. In another part, this paper presents the economic dimension of national security and its role in combating and confronting terrorism and removing the dangers that threaten the country’s security. This is achieved by achieving sustainable development and the resulting improvement of the lives of individuals and raising their standard of living, which enhances their submission to the law and authority and their rejection of ideas. Extreme. The study concludes that sustainable development, which includes improving the economy, developing infrastructure, improving services, and raising the standard of living of individuals; all of these policies undoubtedly help in confronting terrorism and work to limit its spread and undermine its activity, thus protecting national security from this danger.
2024-12-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 جامعة سرت http://journal.su.edu.ly/index.php/jfssu/article/view/3297 Illegal Immigration: Justifications, Pros, and Impacts on National Security 2025-05-05T11:24:09+00:00 أ.غيث عيسى سليمان بوحرورة GHAITH.ESSA@academy.edu.ly
To address the problem of illegal immigration from its roots, it is necessary to search for the real and fundamental reasons that prompted migrants to leave their countries and risk their lives for a better life that was not available to them in their countries, as the main reason for their migration lies in what the colonial countries have done throughout their history full of disadvantages and crimes since they invaded the primitive poor areas, especially in the African continent, and kidnapped their sons and made them slaves and used them in the slave trade, to achieve for themselves well-being, ignoring what results from Their actions in the future, and although the largest migrations that occurred in the modern era were the migration of Europeans to America, and the tragedy it caused to the indigenous people (American Indians), but it was the reason for the emergence of a great country, the United States of America, without these migrations would not have been, then the colonial stage that occurred in the nineteenth century and beyond, and the consequent looting of the bounties of vulnerable peoples in Africa, and the transfer of raw materials and trained labor to their countries in Europe to develop their industries, and to achieve the welfare of their people without regard to the poor peoples, without whom, the European countries would not have been industrialized and developed countries as they are now, knowing that these European countries are the ones who made the political borders between the peoples of the world and put obstacles to their movements, which made these peoples pay the tax of dividing their countries, and strangely they (i.e. European countries) strongly demand that the world become a small village, and due to globalization and modern technology, it has become a small village
2024-12-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 جامعة سرت http://journal.su.edu.ly/index.php/jfssu/article/view/3298 ASSESSMENT OF URBAN SPATIAL EXPANSION WITH ADVANCED MULTI-CRITERIA GEOSPATIAL INFORMATION SYSTEM AND REMOTE SENSING TECHNIQUE: THE CASE OF OUJDAH AND SAIDIAH CITYIES IN MOROCC 2025-05-05T11:31:52+00:00 Mohammed Salim Mohammed mo.salik@wau.edu.ly
Nowadays, both GIS and RS satellite images are becoming important decision-making tools that allow the investigation and monitoring of urban growth according to a set of specified criteria and RS data. The present study is an assessment of the trend in urban growth observed in the Oujda city urban agglomeration, the Saidia coastal zone, and the South-eastern part of Morocco. A huge set of satellite images, databases, and ancillary dates have been collected, analyzed, processed, and integrated for the area under investigation. Several methodologies were exploited by using the IKONOS and SPOT images from August 2007 as well as Landsat TM and ETM acquired between the year 1984 up to 2011 covering the whole Oujda city. The obtained results present that supervised classification resulting from integrated SPOT and ETM datasets produce very great results in comparison to maximum supervised classification methods. Also, PCA was more efficient in comparison with NDVI concerning delineating urban growth without much effort. On the other side, IKONOS, SPOT detail imagery, produced higher accuracy results compared with the results of Landsat Imagery. Its increase shows that changes did take place, but most changes took place in the urban zones, bare lands, and irrigated ones. It has increased from 711.22 hectares in 1970 to 3,664.03 hectares in 2009, while the others were just a standard modification. Meanwhile, Saidia city's urban area increased from 6.5 hectares in 1988 to 28.7 hectares in 2002.
2024-12-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 جامعة سرت
