Abstract

This study aimed to identify the impact of digital transformation on contextual performance at the Universities of Sirte and Fezzan. The study population consisted of faculty members working at both universities. A questionnaire was used as the data collection tool, and the study sample comprised 148 individuals. To achieve the study objectives and test the hypotheses, a descriptive approach was employed. The analysis yielded several key findings, most notably a limited impact of digital transformation on contextual performance at the universities under study. The coefficient of determination indicates that digital transformation explains approximately 9.6% of the change in contextual performance. The study recommends prioritizing the enhancement of digital transformation at the universities under study through a comprehensive strategy that includes upgrading the technological infrastructure and training academic and administrative staff. This will contribute to improved performance, particularly contextual performance, given its significant impact on achieving high levels of success. The study also recommends focusing on raising employee awareness and encouraging positive attitudes towards digital transformation to enhance readiness for digital transformation and improve job performance.
