Abstract

This study dealt with the poetic language and its role in uilding the artistic image (the seven pendants as a model); its importance comes from the importance of the pendants whose texts were distinguished by the objective and artistic richness, and aims to reveal the semantics of the elements of the poetic language in the composition of the artistic image, and highlight its artistic value in the texts of the seven pendants, and show The way pendants owners handled their artistic images, and knowing to what extent the poets of pendants succeeded in using the language in building their artistic images, and the study followed the descriptive inductive approach. Among its results is that the language is the building material of the artistic image, and that the poetic language has what distinguishes it from phonetic, structural, grammatical and morphological connotations, and that the poet in order to convey his experience and draw his images has used emotion and imagination based on the elements of the language that formed a common denominator between poets of pendants.
