Abstract
The current study aimed to prepare a computerized educational program of the type of private lesson for some lessons of fourth-grade science subject, and to identify its effectiveness in the educational process, especially of the country's current conditions of instability in some regions, in addition to the Corona pandemic and the resulting closure of schools, the suspension of studies and the trend For self-learning at home. To achieve the goal, Adobe Flash Professional CS6 and Action Script language have been employed in the production of a computerized educational program for the lessons of the Vital systems and cycles units for the fourth-grade science subject, with a database of questions created in the XML language, and used to create exercises and tests of variable questions, and competitions that have a specific time to answer questions, With scores for correct answers, The study was applied on a sample of (89) students. The sample was divided into two groups: a control group studied using the traditional method, and an experimental group studied using the computerized educational program. A post achievement test was conducted for the two groups to verify the level of achievement. A questionnaire was used to find out the students ’attitude towards computerized software, and the results showed that the program Computerized teaching is effective in the educational process, as the average results of the achievement test of the experimental group were higher than the average results of the control group, and the pupils had a high tendency to use computerized software, and the study recommends expanding the use of computerized software in the educational process and employing Flash in it.
