هدف هذا البحث لقياس أثر الانفتاح التجاري والتنمية المالية على النمو الاقتصادي في الدول المغاربية والتحقق مما إذا كانت التطورات الإيجابية في مجال التنمية المالية تحسن من أثر الانفتاح التجاري على النمو الاقتصادي في تلك الدول، وفي سبيل ذلك استخدم البحث بيانات سنوية عن أربع دول مغاربية هي ليبيا، والجزائر، وتونس، والمغرب تغطي الفترة 1990-2020، وتبنى طريقة المربعات الصغرى المعممة panel FGLS، وقد توصل البحث لوجود أثر سالب للانفتاح التجاري على النمو الاقتصادي، وأثر موجب للتنمية المالية على النمو الاقتصادي، وأن التطورات الإيجابية في التنمية المالية من شأنها أن تحسن من علاقة الانفتاح التجاري بالنمو الاقتصادي في تلك الدول.
